What this site knows about you.

Who I am

This website, tangun.ca, belongs to Akin Tangun, an independent creative director and brand designer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean Akin Tangun.

What the site collects

Nothing directly. There are no contact forms, sign-ups, comment boxes, analytics, tracking pixels or advertising on these pages.

The typefaces, pictures and films are served from this site itself, so visiting a page does not send your details to font, video or social media services.

When you email me

If you write to akin@tangun.ca, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to send. I use it only to reply to you and, if we work together, to run that project.

I do not sell, rent or trade it, and I do not add you to a mailing list. I keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for the work and for my business records, then delete it.

Server logs

Like every website, this one runs on a hosting provider’s servers, which may keep standard technical logs of requests: an IP address, the browser and device type, the page asked for and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure. I do not use them to identify visitors.

Cookies

These pages set no cookies and store nothing on your device. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to the agencies and companies I have worked with. Their sites have their own privacy policies, which I do not control.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email akin@tangun.ca and I will reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
